2023 Seminar Schedule
Saturday, April 15
11am-noon
Andrew Toth will demonstrate using Node-RED (nodered.org), a graphical flow-based programming tool, to program low-cost single board computers like the Raspberry Pi to automate your layout.
If the idea of writing lines of code doesn’t appeal to you, then Node-RED will be a refreshing change. Programming in Node-RED is as simple as opening up your browser, picking nodes from the palette, and wiring them together. Demonstrations will include working circuits using WiFi-enabled devices to control turnouts and lighting, as well as Analog and DCC locomotives.
